We would love to talk about what it takes to become a vendor at our market. First and foremost, we are a producer only market. This means that in order to sell at our market, items must be produced by you and/or your family or employee.
No Direct Sales or Buy/Sell Vendors are permitted.
- Produce must be grown by you and/or your family locally. Non-locally grown produce, produce purchased for the purpose of sale, or produce grown by others may not be sold at our market.
- Canned goods, jams and jellies, baked goods, spice mixes, teas, and pet treats can only be sold at our market by sellers who are registered annually with the MN Dept of Agriculture as a MN Cottage Food Producer. Appropriate documentation is required and appropriate signage and labeling (according to changes made to the Cottage Food Law in 2021) are required.
- All rules regarding potentially hazardous foods and what foods are or are not permitted under Cottage Food must be adhered to.
- If you have a food manufacturer's license granted by or accepted in the state of MN, Cottage Food registration is not required.
- Eggs require special handling and will be permitted if state guidelines are followed by the seller.
- Meat, cheese, and seafood vendors must obtain appropriate licensing from the state of MN and must keep products under mechanical refrigeration in order to sell at our market.
We are always looking for producers that offer a high quality product and can commit to regular appearances at our market. We encourage you to inquire.
